The purpose of the photo competition will be to recreate alumni memories from their time in Zamorano as well as to document the historical places of Zamorano University throughout its seventy-five years.

Contest details

• The topic of this contest is ‘Zamorano through the Lens,’ Three different categories will be made which are as followed:

1. Learning by doing

2. Panamericanism and fraternity

3. Campus landscape, natural resources and buildings

• Photos sent must be of your own authorship and must be original (no Photoshop).

• One photo per participant per category is allowed.

• You are required to provide a unique title and description for each image submitted.

• Photo can have any size but format must be JPG. If we are not able to open your photo, you will lose the opportunity to participate. 

• Photos that have been submitted to previous Zamoranos Symposiums in the USA will not be accepted.

• Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded. Participants who submit photos infracting this incise will be banned and will not be able to participate in further photography contests hosted by the Association of Zamoranos in USA.​

• You should send your photo and give it a title related to its content, also specify in which category you would like your photo to be included.

• We will take care of printing all the photos and they will be placed during the symposium for attendees to make their evaluations.

• Winner will be selected by majority of votes by registered participants.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

1. Submitted photos must be original, created and/or taken by the contestant. It must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party for which you have not obtained a license, must not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

2. Zamoraiders Association respects photographers’ copyrights and copyrights shall remain vested with the creator of the image. Upon making the submission, you grant Zamoraiders, worldwide, non-exclusive right and license to use, publish, reproduce, display, perform, adapt, create derivative works, distribute, have distributed, print, in whole or in part, in any form, in all media forms now or hereafter known, to promote the contest, image, the photographer or for editorial or educative use.

3. The Photographer will be credited wherever the image is used.

LIABILITY

1. You hereby hold harmless, release, indemnify and discharge Zamoraiders Association and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers and representatives from all liability, claims, judgments, demands, controversies, agreements, damages, actions and causes of action. Whatsoever, arising out of or related in any way to the contest or the conduct of the contest and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded, whether in law or in equity, no matter what the cause or nature. You further waive any claims that you may state or assert against Zamoraiders Association in association with the contest or any of its associated activities.
